Ronnie 'Hawk" Anthony

Ronnie Anthony peacefully passed away on December 29, 2025. He was born on July 15, 1948, in Lancaster, South Carolina, to Richard Gladden and the late Irene Hammond.

Ronnie was educated in the Lancaster County School District and attended Barr Street Senior High School. During his working years, he was employed by Springs Industries and later by P&M Trucking, where he was known as a dependable and hardworking man.

Affectionately known as "Hawk," Ronnie found joy in life's simple pleasures. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and never missed an opportunity to watch a good football game. He also enjoyed socializing. entertaining family and friends, and especially playing cards. Ronnie was loved by many and truly never met a stranger.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving father, Richard Gladden of Heath Springs, SC; a son, Mark Anthony of Lancaster, SC, three brothers, RJ Gladden of Aiken, SC, Michael Gladden of Heath Springs, SC, and Maurice Gladden of Wadesboro, NC; one sister, Carolyn Barnes of Lancaster, SC; and one grandchild.

He is also survived by special nieces and nephews, Sharon, Eulanda, Davhan, Journy, Trina, Sheresa (Jay-Jay, Calvin, Jaycoon, and Jordan; special friends, the late Dean Ballard and the late Ezell Mellwain; with special thanks extended to Martha C. Anthony and Tinisha Springs; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his mother, Irene Hammond; a son, Ronald Anthony; two brothers, Ledell Gladden and Lee Anthony; one sister, Barbara Gladden; and a nephew, Maurice Hall.

His memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
