Mrs. Sallie Knox Brevard, 85, peacefully passed away on January 27, 2026. She was born on March 22, 1940, in Lancaster, South Carolina, to the late Cleve Knox and the late Nellie Izzard Knox.
Sallie was a faithful and devoted member of Second Calvary Baptist Church, where she deeply loved her church family and found great joy in worship and fellowship. She was united in holy matrimony to John Thomas Brevard, who preceded her in death.

Known for her loving spirit, kind heart, and gentle presence, Sallie touched the lives of all who knew her. She will be remembered fondly and missed dearly by family, friends, and all whose lives she graced.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories her loving children: one son, Billy Brevard (Crysta) of Lancaster, SC, and one daughter, Minister Lula B. Givens of Charlotte, NC; one brother, Levie Knox of Heath Springs, SC; three sisters, Mattie Bell Knox of Heath Springs, SC, Dorothy Truesdale of Heath Springs, SC, and Reatha Knox of Lancaster, SC; sixteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; many great-great-grandchildren; special friends, Pastor Brenda Johnson and Chyneca Dixison; and a host of devoted caregivers, along with many other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, Sallie was preceded in death by her brothers Donald Brevard, John L. Brevard, Henry Knox, Robert Knox, and James Knox; her sisters Martha Truesdale and Mamie Gaither; and her brother-in-law, Willie Truesdale.
Her legacy of love, faith, and family will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
