Sandra Peay Gill humbly bowed to God's will and entered into eternal rest on Sunday, November 17, 2024 at MUSC in Lancaster, South Carolina. A daughter of the late Bobby Peay and the late Willie Mae Peay was born November 7, 1960 in Lancaster, South Carolina.
She was a beloved member of her community. Sandra will be remembered for her love of softball, where she showcased her talent and passion for the game, and for the deep devotion she had for her family, who were the center of her life.
She was educated in the Lancaster County School District and was a 1979 graduate of Lancaster High School. She furthered her education at York Technical College in Rock Hill, SC.
Sandra touched the lives of everyone she met with her warmth, generosity, and vibrant spirit. Whether she was cheering for her teammates or spending time with her loved ones, Sandra's presence brought joy and inspiration to those around her.
Sandra is survived by a daughter, Laquisha Strain (Randy) of Lancaster, SC, three sisters, Kathy Peay Ingram, Barbara Peay Drafton, Carolyn Peay all of Lancaster, SC, two brothers, Larry Mackey (Veverly) and Darrell Peay(Carolyn) both of Lancaster, SC, four grandchildren, Shy'Quan Strain, Shy' Keria Strain, Shy' Modiest Strain, Shy'Derion Strain all of Lancaster, SC, two great grandchildren, Kentavious Barnette, NeVaeh Delk both of Lancaster, SC, life companion, Roy English, special friend, Patricia Price (Nimmie) along with a host of extended family and friends who will forever cherish the memories they shared with her.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Marvin Peayand Tony Peay.
Sandra's life was a blessing to many, and she will be deeply missed but always fondly remembered.
