Sheresa Hood

Sheresa passed away peacefully at MUSC on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, surrounded by her family. She walked through the portal into the majesty of heaven. Though she was only 52 years of age, she was a spirited warrior and believer. Her resilience wasand is an inspiration. 

She was the daughter of Judy H. Moore and Harvey L. Adams. She was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, grandmother (YaYa), aunt, niece, cousin and friend. 

A proud graduate of Lancaster High School, Class of 1990, A member of the ROTC, with the distinction of a master gun twirler, a graduate of York Technical College and USC Spartanburg (Upper State). Upon graduation was she employed by Baptist Hospital as a Radiologic Technologist. After years of declining health, she accepted the position of Office Manager          for Asset Properties. She was never willing to be idle; therefore, she redirected her energy. 

Sheresa accepted the Lord as her personal Savior at an early age at Mt. Tabor A.M.E. Zion Church and later became a member of The Masters Next Dimension Church in Lancaster, SC.

Her interests were varied; she expressed them through Wedding Creations & Things and H & T Event Planning. Her attention to details and flair, set her work apart from many in the field. She loved event planning and decorating (it was her passion and her gift), also creative art, stitchwork and most of all being the certified BOSS in her many endeavors. 

She was preceded in death by grandparents: James and Mae Lewis Adams, Hazel and Annie Mae Hood, Richard and Sally Moore, Infant Twin Sons, Hiram and Solomon Hood.                     Left to cherish her memory are her mother, Judy H. Moore, fathers: Harvey L. Adams and Johnny (Cathy) Moore. #1 Son: O’Ryan Drakeford (Devondrell Jenkins), Sisters: Jamesila(Malcolm) Williams, Minnie Blakeney, Joyce Stevens, Brothers: Thomas Moore, Derrick Kirkland, Hakeem (Marquita) Moore. Six grandchildren: Cardar, Cali Ava, Cannon and Zayden Drakeford, Armani Watts and Tre’Manie Harris, Jr., Aunts: Betty Craig, Eunice (Wardlow) Belk, Apostle Gwen McIntyre, Janet Adams, Rev. Lillian Adams, Mae (Grayland) Lowry, Delores (Johnny) Pratt, Stella (Eddie) Singleton. Uncles: Thomas Hood, David Hood, Eugene Moore, Nathaniel (Marlene) Moore. Godchildren: Kantyona Crawford, Caleb Jackson, Olivia Stover. Mentors: Dr. Zora Denson and Apostle Olia Alexander. Caregivers: Chosen Hands, Luverta Boulware, Constance Taylor and Fort Lawn Dialysis Center Staff. Best Friends: Regena Bufford and Joe Truesdale, and a host of other friends and relatives.
