TAMEKA SHANTAY EALEY
Tameka Shantay Ealey, humbly bowed to God’s will and peacefully entered into eternal rest on Friday, February 24, 2023 at Prisma Health Richland Hospital in Columbia, SC surrounded by the love of her family. She was the daughter of John L. Ealey Jr. and Doris Thompson Ealey she was born July 11, 1989 in Lancaster County.
Tameka as she was affectionately known accepted Christ as her personal savior and was a member of Mt. Nebo Baptist Church in Lancaster, SC. At an early age she was very active in church and was reared in a home with Christian values.
Tameka was educated in the Lancaster County School District and was a 2007 graduate of Lancaster High School. She received her Bachelor of Science in Health Science from the University of South Carolina in March of 2014.
Tameka was passionate about everything she did. She enjoyed life to the fullest. She had a heart of gold and looked forward to helping everyone in need no matter how little or big the deed was. She was very humble. She enjoyed reading, driving and traveling. Her greatest passion was spending time with her son, nieces, nephews and other family members. To know Tameka was to love her and she will be missed by all.
Left to cherish loving memories are her parents, John L. Ealey Jr and Doris Thompson Ealey of Lancaster, SC, a son, Josiah L. Ealey of Columbia, SC, two sisters, Kiki L. Ealey of Columbia, SC, Samirian Mingo (Maurice) of Lancaster, SC, brother, John L. Ealey III of Killeen, TX and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
