Tammy Clark Obituary

Tammy Renee Clark, affectionately known for her vibrant spirit and deep faith, was born on August 28, 1968, in Lancaster, South Carolina, to her biological parents, Sammy Clark and Evangelist Sue Drakeford. She was lovingly raised by Grover and Evangelist Sue Drakeford. Tammy peacefully departed this life on May 1, 2025.

Tammy was a proud graduate of Andrew Jackson High School, Class of 1987, after attending North Central High School. She furthered her education in Computer Science at Midlands Technical College in Columbia, SC. A cheerleader in her youth, Tammy's energetic and dynamic personality shone brightly from an early age.  She served her country with dignity as a United States Air Force Veteran.

At just nine years old, Tammy accepted Christ into her life, setting the foundation for a lifelong walk of faith. Her love for the Lord was evident in everything she did — from her joyful singing, missionary work, and daily study of the Bible, to her commitment to serving others. In 2024, she fulfilled a lifelong dream by traveling to Israel for missionary work.

Tammy was a true “Diva” — known for her love of singing, dancing, and spending quality time with her family and friends. She was the proud owner of Our Father's Barbershop in Douglasville, Georgia, where her warm smile and loving spirit touched everyone who came through her doors.

She leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, and laughter to be cherished by her devoted parents, Grover and Evangelist Sue Drakeford; her sister, Vickie Seegars-Hinson (Marvin) of Charlotte, NC; her brothers, Dennis Seegars of Atlanta, GA, Sammy Clark (Jillian) of Atlanta, GA and Dontey Truesdale of Fort Mill, SC; five beloved nieces, Lakeyta Wright-Gregory (Kadari) of Lancaster, SC, Sha'Myra Boyd of Charlotte, NC, Nia Seegars of Charlotte, NC, Samantha Clark of Atlanta, GA, and Jatoria Johnson of Lancaster, SC; two great-nieces, My'KajahCrenshaw and Ar'Lianna Seegars both of Lancaster, SC; her god-niece, Markia Davis of Atlanta, GA; two nephews, Gabriel Clark of Atlanta, GA, and Jeremiah Johnson of Lancaster, SC; three great-nephews, Derrick Walker Jr. of Charlotte, NC, Adonias Worthy of Lancaster, SC, and Amir Hammond of Atlanta, GA; and her god-nephew, Exavier Lockett of Atlanta, GA.

She also leaves to honor her memory her godparent, Willie C. Hood; special friends, Karen Bacon, Yolanda Robinson, Elder Perry L. Gooden, and Michael Miller; her caregivers, Grover and Evangelist Sue Drakeford; her siblings, her special niece, Lakeyta Wright-Gregory “Toot-Toot”; and special cousins, Felecia Clark-Dunlap, Pearlie Johnston, Wanda Walker, Albert Blackmon, and Nora Miller.

Tammy's legacy of love, strength, and faith will forever be etched in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
