Teresa A. Carelock, a beloved mother, sister and friendpassed away peacefully on November 3, 2024 leaving behind a legacy that will be remembered for a lifetime. Known for her warm, giving spirit; Teresa touched the lives of all who knew her with kindness and love. Her heart was as boundless as her enthusiasm for life, and she found joy in traveling, fishing, and spending quiet moments reading her Bible.
Born on November 1, 1965 in Lancaster, South Carolina to Lucille Brown and the late Roy Carelock.Teresa lived a life filled with purpose and faith. Shewas a member of Prayer Temple Word of Life Church. Graduated from the Lancaster County School District and was employed by Tyson Food for many years.
She enjoyed traveling and her travels reflected her curiosity about the world, and her time spent fishing symbolized her appreciation for the simple joys of life. Yet, it was her faith that centered her, guiding her with strength and wisdom. Teresa’s family and friends remember her as a woman of deep conviction, warmth, and joy—a true reflection of God’s love.
Teresa is survived by her mother Lucille Brown, twos sons, Rodney Carlock (Tasha) of Florence. SC, Antwain Carelock (Yanna) of Lancaster, SC, one daughter, Sha'Quita Carelock of Lancaster, SC, four brothers, Eddie Clyburn, Steven Clyburn both of Lancaster, SC, Michael Carelock (Co'Sandra) of Monroe, NC, Dale Clyburn of Washington, DC, two sisters, Wendy Clyburn and Belinda Clyburn both of Lancaster, SC eight grandchildren, one uncle James “Felt” Clyburn of Greensboro, NC one aunt, Eddie Bell Clyburn of Lancaster, SC. A special acknowledgement to her nieces, Kiera Clyburn “Nurse Betty”, Tierra Clyburn and a bonus son Reggie Cates who she loved dearly and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by a son, RoshuneCarelock and a sister Tracy Brown.
