Terry Clyburn Sr. Obituary

Mr. Terry Clyburn, Sr. entered into eternal rest on May 30, 2026, at MUSC Medical Center in Lancaster, South Carolina. Born on December 11, 1950, in Lancaster, South Carolina, he was the beloved son of the late James Lee Clyburn and the late Annie Kirkland Clyburn.

Terry was educated in the Lancaster County School District and was known throughout his life as a hardworking, dedicated, and family-oriented man. He faithfully served as a member of In His Presence Ministry, where he worshipped and fellowshiped with his church family.

For many years, Terry was employed at the Walmart Distribution Center, where he worked diligently until his retirement. His strong work ethic, dependability, and commitment to excellence earned him the respect and admiration of his coworkers and friends.

In his leisure time, Terry enjoyed many activities that brought him joy and relaxation. He was an avid golfer and proudly participated as a member of the Tri-County Golf Club. He also enjoyed fishing, shooting pool, and spending quality time with family and friends. Whether on the golf course, by the water with a fishing pole, or gathered around a pool table, Terry cherished every opportunity to create lasting memories with those he loved. Though he has departed from this earthly life, his legacy of love, kindness, and dedication will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories: One daughter, Christine Clyburn McPherson (Vincent) of Sandersville, Georgia; Two sons, Terry Andre Clyburn of Sandersville, Georgia, and Jeremias Clyburn of Lancaster, South Carolina; Two brothers, Every Lee Clyburn and Danny Clyburn, both of Lancaster, South Carolina; Four sisters, Mary C. Brown, Elsie C. Ingram (William), Martha C. Anthony, and Cathy C. Barnes (Hazel), all of Lancaster, South Carolina; Three grandchildren, Vincent McPherson (Olivia) and Victor McPherson (Jasmine), both of Sandersville, Georgia, and Asia Clyburn of Covington, Georgia; Two great-grandchildren, Khloe McPherson and Kimberly McPherson, both of Sandersville, Georgia; two sisters-in-law, Bessie Clyburn and Barbara Clyburn both of Lancaster, SC, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends who will forever treasure the memories they shared with him.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Hattie Mackey and Bobbie Chambers, three brothers Willie B. Clyburn, Mack Lester Clyburn, Clarence Clyburn

While we mourn his passing, we celebrate a life well lived—a life marked by faith, hard work, devotion to family, and friendship. Terry’s gentle spirit, warm smile, and unwavering love will never be forgotten.
