Tkai Martiyaun Perry

Tkai Martiyaun Perry, affectionately known as “Kai,” was born on November 16, 2004, and departed this life on March 20, 2026.

He was the beloved son of Kenyata Peay Myers of Lancaster, South Carolina, and Martinize Deyaun Perry of Fort Lawn, SC. Kai was educated in the Lancaster County School District and was a proud graduate of Lancaster High School, Class of 2023.

Kai was a loving, family-oriented young man who found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He enjoyed eating good food, whether it was a home-cooked meal or dining out, and he had a natural ability to bring laughter to any room. His playful spirit and sense of humor made him someone everyone enjoyed being around. Above all, Kai treasured the time he spent with his family and friends, especially his niece and nephew, who meant the world to him. To know Kai was to love him, and he was truly loved by many.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories: his parents, Kenyata Peay Myers of Lancaster, South Carolina, and Martinize Deyaun Perry of Fort Lawn, SC; two sisters, TykeAsia Ikei Dickson and Mahagani’ Briyaun Perry, both of Lancaster, South Carolina; three aunts, Belinda Peay of Lancaster, South Carolina, Mary Perry, and Carrie Perry both of Fort Lawn, SC; two uncles, Calvin Peay of Lancaster, SC and Darnell Perry of Fort Lawn, SC; one niece, Kennedi Blakeney; one nephew, Isaiah Blakeney both of Lancaster, SC; his godparents, Helzar Baxter, Natasha James, Latrice “Rissa” Davis, and Cliff Mickles; and a host of special friends, including Demarcus Frazier, Reginald Blackmon, Christavion Frasier, Tyla Clyburn, A’mauria McFadden, and Jasmine Wright.

He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Linda Peay and Denise Perry, and his uncle, Jeremy D. Peay.

Kai’s loving spirit, joyful laughter, and lasting memories will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
