Mr. William George Brown humbly bowed to God’s will and peacefully
entered into eternal rest on Sunday, November 12, 2023 at Piedmont
Medical Center, Rock Hill, South Carolina
William George was the son of the late Curtis Brown and the late
Dorothy Lee Davis Brown. William Georg accepted Christ at a later age.
He was dedicated to doing the will of God for the remainder of his life.
William George was a loving person wo loved his family and friends. He
enjoyed watching sports, especially the Washington Redskins
(Commanders), and racing. He also took delight in watching westerns
and political news.
William George graduated from Barr Street High School in 1962. During
his younger years, he worked as a mechanic and baker for Springs Mills,
and he owned and operated Mighty Bright Car Wash. He was masterful
at detailing cars for Cauthen Motors for forty years, and he was also an
independent truck driver for several years before retiring.
He leaves to mourn and cherish many memories, two brothers, james
R. Brown (Peggy) of Lancaster, SC, Richard Lee Brown (Patricia) of San
Antonio, Texas, three sisters, Vickie Brown, Joanne Clyburn (Troy), and
Stella Witherspoon (Jerry) all of Lancaster, SC, three special friends, Mr.
Willie Wade, Mr. Henry Adams and Mr. Michael Fisher. Many nieces,
nephews, family and friends will miss him dearly. He was preceded in
death by two brothers, Curtis Lee Brown, and Paul Mitchell Brown, two
sisters, Mary Louise Brown and Laura Frances Brown.
