Billy was raised in a Christian household where strong religious values were instilled in him at an early age—values that guided his life, service, and character. He was educated in the Lancaster County School District where he attended Hillside High School.
A devoted servant of God, Billy was a faithful member of First Kershaw Baptist Church in Kershaw, South Carolina. His dedication to his church family and community was unwavering.
Billy was united in holy matrimony to Mary Jane Wright McCain, and from their loving union, a beautiful family was created. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who cherished his family deeply.
He was employed by Springs Industries for many years, where he worked diligently until his retirement. Outside of work and church, Billy enjoyed life’s simple pleasures. He was an avid boxing fan, loved watching westerns, reading, and spending time at the beach. Known for his handy skills, he had a special gift for repairing things and found joy in picking blackberries.
