Willie B. Clyburn

Mr. Willie B. Clyburn entered into eternal rest surrounded by love and peace. Born in Lancaster, South Carolina on July 3, 1942. The son of the late James Lee Clyburn and the late Annie Kirkland Clyburn. Willie was known for his gentle spirit, quiet strength, and the deep compassion he showed to everyone he met. His presence brought comfort, his smile brought warmth, and his wisdom guided many throughout his life.

Willie leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish his memory. He is survived by his daughter, Marlisa Montgomery of Lancaster, SC; three brothers, Every Lee Clyburn, Terry Clyburn, and Danny Clyburn, all of Lancaster, SC; and four sisters, Mary C. Brown, Elsie C. Ingram, Martha C. Anthony, and Cathy C. Barnes, all of Lancaster, SC. He also leaves behind two devoted aunts, Evelyn Jones and Zelma Kirkland, both of Lancaster, SC; sisters-in-law, Bessie McCain Clyburn and Barbara W. Clyburn; and a brother-in-law, Ronnie Anthony, all of Lancaster, SC.

He was a proud grandfather to Delila Montgomery of Columbia, SC and Se’Keon Montgomery of Rock Hill, SC, and a beloved great-grandfather to Demarkio, Kemori, Josiah, and Kayson, all of South Carolina. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends join the family in celebrating his life and legacy.

Willie was preceded in death by two sisters, Hattie C. Mackey and Bobbie Chambers; and two brothers, Mack Lester Clyburn and Clarence Clyburn.

Though he has departed from this earthly journey, Willie’s legacy of love, faith, and kindness will continue to shine through those whose lives he touched. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
