Willie Eugene Cureton, respectfully bowed to God's will and entered into eternal rest at his home on Saturday, December 27, 2024. Gene born in LancasterCounty, South Carolina a son of the late Willie James Cureton and the late Ara Bell Belk Cureton.
Gene was a member of First Washington Baptist Church. He was educated in the Lancaster County School and graduated from Barr Street High School in the class of 1968. He was a Veteran having served in the United States Army.
He was united in holy matrimony to Ponda McDaniel Cureton.
Gene embraced life and had a caring personality with a free heart. His hobby was watching his favorite teams in basketball and football.
Left to cherish warm and loving memories are his wife Ponda McDaniel Cureton of Lancaster, SC, two sons, Lamont Elder (Shawn), Demarco Mollwain both of Lancaster, SC, four daughters Yokima C. Perez (Jesse) of Lancaster, SC, Renee Cureton Wright (Ken) of Monroe, NC, Tonya Cureton of Waxhaw, NC, Crystal Hall (Jimmy) of Lancaster, SC, three sisters, Lavonia C. Watts, Johnita C Myers (Russell), Ava D. Cureton all of Lancaster, SC, ten grandchildren, four great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by a son, Brian A. Thrower.
